She will take over the role from the show’s songwriter, Sara Bareilles, who is set to depart the show on March 11.
David Cook to join the cast of Kinky Boots: American Idol winner David Cook is set to strap on those red heels in the cast of Kinky Boots from April 3 to May 5. He will take over the role of Charlie Price from Scissor Sisters singer Jake Shears, who’s final performance is set for April 1.
Harry Connick Jr. sets his sights on Broadway: Last seen on Broadway in The Pajama Game, Connick Jr. has joined the upcoming out-of-town tryout of The Sting, a musical adaptation of the 1973 Oscar-winning film.
Hello, Betty Buckley!: The upcoming tour of the Tony-winning revival Hello, Dolly! has been announced, with Betty Buckley at the helm as Dolly Gallagher Levi. The first national tour will begin on October 12 at Playhouse Square in Cleveland, OH, with more dates and cities to be announced.
