Don’t miss them! Continuing where our previous post left off, let’s take a final look at the shows that are set to close this Sunday, January 15th:
This long-running hit tells the story of Franki Valli and The Four Seasons, portraying the band’s formation and success, as well as providing a glimpse at the behind-the-scenes drama that plagued the 1960s sensation, all from the perspectives of the members themselves. Since opening at the August Wilson Theatre in 2005, Jersey Boys has been playing The Four Seasons’ greatest hits to Broadway audiences from all around the world. Be sure to catch the phenomenon while you still can!
Next up at the August Wilson Theatre: Groundhog Day is set to open on April 17, 2017.
Following an incredibly successful Off-Broadway run, this four time Tony Award-winner opened on Broadway at the Helen Hayes Theatre in February of 2016, before moving to the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre that August. Written by Stephen Karam, this one-act play depicts a tense family Thanksgiving in the small Manhattan apartment of one of the grown daughters. In addition to winning the 2016 Tony Award for Best Play, The Humans was also a finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize.
Next up at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre: Come from Away is set to open on March 12, 2017.
Check into the Holiday Inn before it closes its doors! Adapted from the 1942 film of the same name and featuring the beloved standards by Irving Berlin, this feel-good holiday hit opened this past October at Studio 54 for a limited engagement. This energetic, toe-tapping musical stars Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder) and Corbin Bleu (Godspell, High School Musical) as two thirds of a song-and-dance trio who headline at a farmhouse-turned-inn. This show is one you won’t want to miss!
